Sonic HPGTM
Intelligent Pipeline Security & Monitoring System
Long lines between producer and consumer are vulnerable to theft, sabotage and
unobserved massive leakage.
The Challenge includes the need for early detection, definition of event and exact localization are crucial to ensure efficient, timely response.
SonicLynx HPG system is an underground layer of protection, alerting to events endangering the unobstructed flow of material. The system is installed to monitor events on the pipeline and in its vicinity on the ground and underneath it.

|
How it Works
The HPG system is passive, using electro dynamic sensors placed along a given defense line (on, around and about the pipelines).
The system receives and identifies seismic sound waves that are transmitted through
the underground. The sensors connect to a central control through a hub(s) or signal
processing units.
The system is able to detect, classify and monitor: Digging, excavating, drilling, Leakage and Human motion such as walking, running and crawling. Vehicle/machine motion is also detected by the system.
The configuration is tailored to security issues and environmental conditions (soil
and topography). This covers sensors' depth, sensors' distribution and the

The Technology
The HPG system provides real time detection, classification and alert of threatening activities anywhere on, under or along the monitored pipeline.
Components of the system:
- A network of sensors
- A central signal processing unit
- A wired and/or wireless communication system
- A command and control room
- The system is modular.

|
Performance Highlights
- Covert, undetected network
- Operational 24/7
- Unobstructed functionality regardless of weather, growth, visibility
- High accuracy of detection: timely, exact, definitive, localized
- Simultaneous, multi-event detection and report
- Easy deployment
- Low power requirements, low maintenance
- Cost effectiveness
- Compatibility and integration capability with other monitoring systems

Pipeline Security - The Need
- Pipeline companies are faced with the growing need to protect their assets from different kinds of malicious activities, ranging from simple theft to terrorism.
- Thousands of miles of Gas & Oil pipe-lines are spread over the entire world subjected to different hazards including:
- Product Theft
- Sabotage –vandalism or terrorist motivated
- Accidental damages
- Mechanical failure
The HPG System:
- Provides full real time control of activities in the perimeter enabling protection of enclosed perimeters against illegal activity.
- Detects unauthorized activities on and underground, such as walking, digging, etc.
- Pipelines different hazards activities detection in the perimeter around and on the pipes as well as leaks.
